So last night since Mike was gone I was bored and decided that I needed to not only get my menu for Thanksgiving together but to get my grochery list together and divide between Dry and Wet goods. I'll spare you the list.
Fried Turkey
Macaroni & Cheese
Mashed Potato's Baked
Gravy
Green Bean Casserole
Overnight Salad?
Cranberry/Orange Marmalade Sauce
Bread/Rolls
Bread Pudding
Pumpkin Pie
I think that's it so far haha.
We're also going to try and make some Boudin Rolls for snacking during the day.

Oven Roasted Garlic Asparagus
I promise I will upload pictures tonight but I was tired last night.
Ingredients
Asparagus
EVOO
Garlic
Prosciutto
Pre-Heat oven to about 350 degrees.
Chop garlic.
I put down aluminum foil on my baking sheet just so I don't have so much of a mess afterwards.
Wrap prosciutto around each peiece of asparagus (if you don't have prosciutto on hand no worries. Just skip this part.) I just think it gives it more flavor.
Place on baking sheet. Drizzle EVOO all over. Sprinkle garlic.
Bake about 20 minutes.

So I've been pretty lazy with keeping up with the ol blog. Somehow I erased some pictures I had on my memory card before uploading onto the computer. :(
However I've decided that I'm going to try my hand at baking one more time and will be blogging about that.
I decided I'm going to also use this as an everyday life blog...well let's see what happens!

Crockpot Chicken
Got this recipe from the blog of Came in the Kitchen.
Ingredients
Whole Fryer Chicken (6lbs)
About 1 Tbsp EVOO
Chicken Rub (I'm not cool enough to know how much to use in seasonings so just wing it)
Salt
Pepper
Sage
Thyme
Rosemary
Place chicken on Crock Pot. Rub EVOO all over. Sprinkle seasonings. Throw in Sage, Thyme, and Rosemary.
Slow cook 6 hours on low then warm while preparing side meals.

Alfredo Sauce
I got this from the blog No Blue Box For Me
Ingredients
8 oz Cream Cheese (I use 1/3 less fat to save some on caleries haha)
1/2 C Heavy Cream
2/3 C Milk
1/2 C Parmesan Cheese
3 Tbl Butter
(Could add Garlic Seasoning if you wish)
(I add in Slap Ya Mama again because we like spice)
Melt Cream Cheese and Butter in saucepan. Slowly add the milk and cream whisking until smooth.
Add Parmesan. Whisk again until smooth.
You can eat this just with fettucine but I add in Shrimp.
I season Shrimp with Slap Ya Mama and then cook.
Add into Alfredo sauce after Alfredo Sauce is cooked through.
